Who do I contact for information about The GrayBrier Nursing & Rehabilitation Center?
If you need information regarding a possible admission to the GrayBrier or general information, you should contact the Director of Admissions. If this representative is not able to answer your questions, you will be directed to someone who can.
What is the staff to resident ratio?
A staffing schedule is posted daily on the administrative hall to inform the public of the number of nursing personnel that are currently on shift. Overall, our staffing ratios far exceed NC state norms and regulations
What are the costs and what do these costs include?
Due to the fact that the GrayBrier is a combination facility, we charge different prices for different levels of care. Occasionally, these prices will change due to inflation and a fluctuating economy. For current prices and details as to what services and products are included, contact the Director of Admissions.
Does the GrayBrier offer therapy?
Absolutely! According to physicians’ orders, residents are provided with three types of therapy performed in-house. These types of therapy include Speech therapy, Occupational therapy, and Physical therapy.
Are licensed nurses on duty continuously?
Yes. Registered Nurses (RN) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) are on duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week. In addition, the GrayBrier also has a house physician and medical director available to our residents on a full-time basis.
Is television service included?
We provide flat screen televisions in every room. There is a monthly fee for television service.
Do you have a beauty/barber shop on-site?
Yes we do! The beautician is available to meet with you to provide scheduling and payment arrangements.
Can I smoke during my stay?
No. We are a 100% Smoke Free campus. No smoking is allowed anywhere on the property.
Can we bring our pet to visit?
Yes. We do require that a copy of your pet’s current vaccination be brought in prior to visiting.
Do you offer laundry service?
Yes. We will provide laundry service at no additional charge. You are welcome to take home laundry as well; we require that you pick up at least two times per week and supply an airtight container.
Who do I address my concerns to about my family member at the GrayBrier?
The GrayBrier has a wonderful support team available to residents and family members. We understand that making the transition from one’s familiar home to a nursing home can be difficult for residents and family members. Therefore, we have an excellent social work team who is always available to listen. In addition, depending on the type of concern you have, you might also be directed to a staff member within the department of your concern.
Where is the GrayBrier located?
General: The GrayBrier is located in Archdale, NC. Specific: Beginning at the intersection of Highway 311 and Interstate 85, travel one mile South on Highway 311 from this intersection. At the first stop light turn right onto Tom Hill Rd. Travel 1/4 mile until you cross railroad tracks. Once you cross the Railroad tracks, take an immediate right on Lane Dr., which runs parallel to the Railroad tracks. The GrayBrier is approximately 300 yards on the left.
What forms of payment does The GrayBrier accept?
Medicare Part A and B, Medicaid (SNF Approved), 3rd party insurance contracts vary and private funds.
